Role Summary

The Client Success Manager (CSM) at 5DM is the primary strategic partner for our clients, responsible for ensuring they derive maximum value from our full suite of marketing services and proprietary AdTech (Audience, Media, and Creative Paths).

You are a “hybrid” professional: part strategic consultant, part performance marketer, and part account lead. You will manage the entire client lifecycle—from onboarding and campaign planning to advanced analytics and retention—ensuring that every client touchpoint is high-value and results-oriented.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Consulting & Connection Planning

  • Connection Planning: Align brand objectives with 5DM’s media ecosystem to create seamless consumer journeys.
  • Consumer Insights: Leverage 5DM’s proprietary audience data to provide deep consumer intelligence.
  • Messaging Strategy: Advise clients on precision marketing and tailored messaging strategies that resonate with specific African audience segments.

Planning & Media Execution Oversight

  • Media Plan Development: Oversee the creation of multi-channel online media plans that integrate Social, Search, and Programmatic.
  • Negotiations: Lead media negotiations to ensure clients receive optimal rates and premium inventory.
  • Execution: Work with the internal media buying team to ensure plans are executed with surgical precision.

Performance & Acquisition Marketing

  • Acquisition Focus: Drive high-performance campaigns centered on customer acquisition, utilizing Paid SEM, Social, and Affiliate marketing.
  • Programmatic Strategy: Guide clients on the use of Programmatic Digital to achieve scale and efficiency.
  • ROAS Tracking: Maintain an unwavering focus on ROI/ROAS for all performance-driven accounts.

Content & Platform Strategy

  • Content Auditing: Review and audit client content to ensure it meets platform-specific best practices and creative scoring benchmarks.
  • Development Strategy: Advise on platform-specific content development that aligns with the “Creative Path” philosophy of cultural relevance.

Advanced Analytics & Retention

  • Multi-Touch Attribution: Use 5DM’s tech stack to provide sophisticated attribution modeling, proving the value of every digital touchpoint.
  • Brand Health Tracking: Provide clients with daily brand health tracking and geo-spatial analytics to monitor market impact.
  • Predictive Analytics: Utilize 5DM’s Marketing Cloud to offer predictive insights that inform future budget allocation.

  • Experience: 6+ years in Client Success, Account Management, or Digital Strategy within an agency or AdTech firm.
  • Performance Mindset: Proven track record of managing high-budget performance accounts with a focus on acquisition.
  • Strategic Versatility: Able to move from high-level “Consulting” conversations to deep-dive “Analytics” reviews with ease.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into actionable client stories.
  • Industry Context: Deep understanding of the African digital landscape and consumer behaviors.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Client Retention: High renewal rates for long-term service contracts.
  • Account Growth: Success in upselling clients into 5DM’s advanced tech paths (e.g., moving from Social-only to Audience Path/CDP integration).
  • Campaign Performance: Consistently meeting or exceeding client-defined acquisition and brand health KPIs.
  • Client Satisfaction (NPS): High scores in client satisfaction surveys.
